Okra’s Cajun Creole
If your family likes a little more spice, head down to Okra’s Cajun Creole. Established more than 20 years ago, Okra’s is located in a historic building on Center Street in Manassas Old Town. The restaurant is decorated in New Orleans style with plenty of wood and exposed brick giving it a laid-back vibe. They also have an outdoor seating area.
For starters, you can try alligator bites, firecracker shrimp, or voodoo chicken strips. The “Nawlins Fare” on the menu includes crawfish etouffee, dirty rice, jambalaya, and shrimp and grits. A selection of salads and sandwiches is also available.
The Bone
Another favorite spot located in the Old Town on Battle Street is The Bone, a family-owned and operated restaurant serving pit-smoked barbecue food. The place has a modern rustic feel and has high counters, booths, and outdoor seating.
You’ll find classic barbecue fare with pulled pork and chicken, beef brisket, and ribs. Kids’ meals for under 12s include Mac n’ cheese, BBQ sandwich, quarter chicken, or ribs, and include a side and a drink.
